At INLEAP Photonics, we develop innovative and ultra-fast laser system technology for industrial and safety-critical applications. In addition to optimising laser processes in manufacturing, we also work on high-precision systems for drone defence. Our goal is to set new standards in productivity and precision with maximum safety, reliability and efficiency.

To take the user experience of our software and system interfaces to a new level, we are looking for reinforcement in UX design:

UX Designer (m/f/d)

As a UX Designer (m/f/d), you will design the user experience of our operating and monitoring interfaces for industrial and safety-critical applications. You will translate complex technical systems into intuitive, user-centred interfaces and work closely with software development, product management and customers.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conception and design of user-centred UX/UI concepts for B2B software and technical systems
  • Conducting user analyses, interviews and usability tests
  • Independent technical implementation of designed control and monitoring interfaces
  • Development and integration of user interfaces using C++ and Qt
  • Use of Python for prototyping, automation, testing, and the integration of technical functions
  • Close collaboration between UX/UI design and software development — from concept to production
  • Maintenance, further development, and optimisation of implemented software interfaces

Your qualifications and skills:

  • Completed degree or training in UX design, interaction design, media design or similar
  • Solid programming skills in C++ and hands-on experience with Qt
  • Good knowledge of Python
  • Ability to independently translate UX/UI concepts into functional software
  • Understanding of software architecture, interfaces, and technical development processes
  • Confident use of design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Qt
  • Understanding of technical systems and processes is an advantage
  • Creativity, user focus and structured approach to work
