At INLEAP Photonics, we develop innovative and ultra-fast laser system technology for industrial and safety-critical applications. In addition to optimising laser processes in manufacturing, we also work on high-precision systems for drone defence. Our goal is to set new standards in productivity and precision with maximum safety, reliability and efficiency.

To further develop our INLEAP® FASTLIGHT® technology for ultra-fast laser beam steering and scale it for both industrial applications and security-critical deployment scenarios such as counter-drone defense, we are looking to strengthen our team in the field of electronics:

Electronics Technician / Electrical Engineer — Control Cabinet Assembly & PLC (m/f/d)

As an Electronics Technician / Electrical Engineer for Control Cabinet Assembly & PLC, you will contribute to the electrical design, assembly, and commissioning of our technical systems. You will be responsible for planning and implementing control cabinets, creating circuit diagrams, and programming PLC controllers — in particular using Beckhoff systems. In this role, you will work closely with the development, mechanical, software, and assembly teams to ensure that our systems operate reliably, safely, and efficiently.

Your responsibilities:

  • PLC programming, in particular using Beckhoff controllers
  • Design and assembly of control cabinets, components, cables, and wiring
  • Creation and maintenance of circuit diagrams using EPLAN
  • Participation in installation, assembly, and commissioning activities
  • Execution of functional tests and fault analysis
  • Documentation of work performed and technical modifications
  • Independent handling of smaller construction, conversion, and maintenance tasks
  • Close collaboration with development, mechanical engineering, software, and external partners

Your qualifications and skills:

  • Completed vocational training or degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a comparable field
  • Initial experience in control cabinet assembly as well as wiring and testing of electrical components and systems
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, ideally with Beckhoff
  • Experience with EPLAN or comparable CAE systems is an advantage
  • Technical understanding of machinery, systems, and automated processes
  • Independent, structured, and results-oriented working style
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and a hands-on mentality
