At INLEAP Photonics, we develop innovative and ultra-fast laser system technology for industrial and safety-critical applications. In addition to optimising laser processes in manufacturing, we also work on high-precision systems for drone defence. Our goal is to set new standards in productivity and precision with maximum safety, reliability and efficiency.
To further develop and scale our INLEAP® FASTLIGHT® technology for both industrial applications and safety-critical scenarios such as drone defence, we are looking for reinforcement for our engineering team in the field of electrical/hardware development:
Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)
As an Electrical Engineer (m/f/d), you will design and develop the electrical system technology for our innovative laser beam steering technologies: from precise sensor and actuator connections for ultra-fast laser beam steering to mixed-signal circuits and power electronics to real-time capable controllers. You will convert prototypes into series-ready, EMC-compliant modules, be responsible for layout and signal integrity, integrate suitable MCU/FPGA platforms and provide reliable power supply concepts for high-power lasers.
Your tasks:
- Design of circuits (e.g. with EPLAN) using sensors, drivers and control units in real-time applications.
- Development of control systems for laser systems.
- Prototyping and testing (e.g. oscilloscope, logic analyser) to validate system reliability.
- Scaling strategies: optimisation for cost-effective production and modularity.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration for fully integrated mechatronic solutions.
- Taking over the role of the responsible electrical engineer (VEFK) in accordance with German regulations.
Your qualifications and skills:
- Degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics (master’s/diploma) with a focus on power electronics, training/master craftsman/technician for electrical engineering/electronics.
- Professional experience in electronics development for optical or automation systems.
- Knowledge of safety engineering and standards (CE, RoHS, EN ISO 13848).
- Anticipated scaling capabilities: Expertise in scaling electronics to volume production.
- Hands-on mentality, good English skills and ability to work in a team in an agile start-up environment.
Start date:
- Immediately or by agreement
